Hiring for a gig
A gig is a job for one worker. You post it for free, workers apply with their profile, you hire one and only then deposit the budget into the escrow. After delivery you have 7 days to approve or reject.
Post a gig
Open Post a gig from the side menu or the Dashboard.

The form shows the cost: "Posting is free. When you hire, you deposit X plus a 2% fee of Y. After delivery you have 7 days to approve or reject; without an answer the worker is paid."
Click Post gig (needs a sign-in). You can have up to 20 open gig posts at a time.
What is public
The gig post (title, brief, links, budget, delivery time) is public, and it stays readable at its link after you hire. After hiring, the copy of the brief attached to the funded gig is visible only to you, the worker and the arbiter.
Review applicants
Your gig post page lists the applicants (click Sign in to see applicants if needed). For each applicant you see their full profile card: photo (with a blue check if they own a verified project), name, headline, skills, bio, links, their track record counted from the escrow, and their note to you. Click a name for the full public profile.
Close post ends the post without hiring. All open applications are marked declined.
Hire and fund
Click Hire and fund X + Y fee next to the worker you choose. The app then:
- Asks for a sign-in if needed.
- Approves exactly budget + fee in USDG for the escrow (skipped if an approval already covers it).
- Creates the gig on-chain: the budget goes into the escrow, the fee goes to the work2own treasury, the worker is fixed, and the delivery deadline is set to the delivery days counted from now (your computer's clock).
- Links the gig to your post. The chosen application is marked hired, the others declined, and the brief is attached to the gig.
You are then taken to the gig page.
If an error appears after funding
If step 3 succeeded but step 4 failed, the gig is funded on-chain but not linked to the post, and the brief is not attached to it, so the worker sees only "Gig #N". Do not click Hire and fund again, because that funds a second gig. Check your Dashboard's My work tab for the new gig, and contact work2own on X to attach the brief.
Review the delivery
When the worker delivers, the gig page shows their notes and links and the token they chose. The Dashboard reminds you: "Review the delivered gig; it is paid automatically when the window ends".

Disputes
A rejected gig goes to the work2own arbiter. The arbiter reads the brief, the delivery and your reason, then splits the budget (the arbiter's page works in whole percent): the worker's share becomes their payout, and the rest is refunded to you. The gig page then shows "Arbiter decision: X to the worker, Y back to the employer."
- Only the arbiter can settle a dispute, and the contract sets no time limit for it.
- The platform fee is not refunded.
If the worker does not deliver
If the deadline passes without a delivery, the gig page shows "The worker did not deliver before the deadline." with Cancel and refund the budget. The full budget comes back to you; the fee does not. Your Dashboard reminds you: "Gig not delivered by the deadline: cancel it to get the budget back".
You cannot cancel a gig before its deadline, or after the worker has delivered.
Refunds that could not be sent
If a refund cannot be sent to your address, the amount is kept for you. The Dashboard shows Refund available with a Withdraw refund button, and only your own address can withdraw it.
