Reviewing quests
How submissions are handled depends on the review mode you chose when creating the quest.
Manual review
On your quest page, Submissions to review lists every submission that waits for you. Click Sign in to read proofs if the proofs are hidden. For each submission you see:
- The worker and the token they will be paid in.
- "auto-pays 6d 23h left": the time left before the 7-day review window ends and the payment is released.
- Each step with the worker's answer. For on-chain steps you also see the transaction link and the operator's pre-check: verified on-chain, check failed (with the reason) or checking.
- The worker's notes and links.
Then:
- Approve and pay: completes the quest and creates the worker's payout. A USDG payout is sent immediately. A stock token payout is executed by the work2own operator shortly after, at a protected price.
- Reject: the submission is rejected and the slot goes back to the pool for another worker. The rejected wallet cannot join the quest again. No reason is recorded.
Timing rules from the contract:
| Action | When |
|---|---|
| Reject | Only within 7 days of the submission |
| Approve | Any time while the submission is still waiting |
| Release without your answer | After 7 days, by anyone. The operator does it automatically |
The operator's on-chain pre-check is advice only. In manual mode your decision is what counts.
Automatic verification
You have nothing to do. The work2own operator checks each submission against the steps you published and then:
- completes it on-chain when every step passes, which creates the worker's payout, or
- rejects it on-chain when a step fails, which frees the slot for another worker.
You cannot approve or reject submissions of an automatic quest. The rules are in Automatic verification.
Who can read proofs
Proofs are stored with work2own. Only the worker who submitted, you as the employer, and work2own's operator and arbiter can read them. On-chain there is only the proof's fingerprint.
Close and refund
When the quest's deadline has passed, the unused rewards can be refunded to you: reward × (slots − completed slots).
- On your quest page, Close and refund unused rewards appears after the deadline. The contract lets anyone close an ended quest; the refund always goes to the employer.
- The operator also closes ended quests automatically when no submission is waiting.
- A quest cannot be closed while any submission is still waiting. In a manual quest, a submission made just before the deadline can keep the quest open for up to 7 more days, until you answer or it is released. In an automatic quest, a waiting submission blocks closing until the operator decides it.
- The platform fee is not refunded.
After closing, the quest page shows "Closed. Refunded X USDG."
If the refund could not be sent
If the USDG transfer to your address fails, the amount is kept for you in the escrow. Your Dashboard then shows Refund available and a Withdraw refund button. Only your own address can withdraw it.
Your Dashboard
The Dashboard's To do list reminds you of submissions to review, for example "2 quest submission(s) to review" (manual quests), and "Campaign ended: close it to refund unused rewards". The Hiring tab lists your quests with completed slots and how many submissions wait for you.
